Ingredients
- 1000 g waxy potatoes
- 3 EL cooking oil
- 1 TL sweet paprika powder
- 8 Stück bratwurst (pork bratwurst)
- 200 g tomato ketchup
- 100 ml water
- 1 EL sugar
- 2 TL curry powder
- 1 EL tomato paste
- salt
- black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220 °C, top and bottom heat.
- Wash the potatoes, do not peel them, and cut them into thick sticks. In a large bowl, toss them with 2 tbsp oil, paprika powder, salt and pepper, and spread them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the fries in the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes until crispy. Turn them once halfway through the baking time.
- Meanwhile, fry the bratwursts in 1 tbsp oil in a large pan over medium heat for about 10 minutes on all sides, until golden brown. Then remove them from the pan and slice them.
- For the curry sauce, add the tomato paste to the pan briefly and roast it. Add the ketchup, water, sugar and curry powder and let it simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the sausage slices to the sauce and toss them briefly in it. Serve the currywurst with the hot fries.
