Ingredients
- 600 g firm-cooking potatoes
- 1 EL cooking oil
- 1 TL salt
- Prise sweet paprika powder (optional)
Method
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel them and cut them into sticks about 1 cm thick.
- Place the potato sticks in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 15 minutes so that excess starch is released.
- Drain the sticks and pat them very dry with a kitchen towel.
- In a bowl, toss the dry potato sticks evenly with the cooking oil, the salt and, if you like, a little paprika powder.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
- Place the fries in the basket without them lying on top of each other, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
- After about 10 minutes, pull out the basket and shake the fries so they brown evenly.
- The fries are ready when they are golden brown and crispy on the outside; serve immediately.
