Ingredients

  • 200 g bittersweet chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 3 Stück eggs
  • 100 g wheat flour
  • 40 g cocoa powder
  • 1 TL baking powder
  • 1 Prise salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 °C top and bottom heat and line a square tin (approx. 20 x 20 cm) with baking paper.
  2. Roughly chop the bittersweet chocolate, melt it together with the butter in a saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Whisk the sugar and eggs in a bowl for about 3 minutes until frothy.
  4. Stir the lukewarm chocolate-butter mixture into the egg mixture.
  5. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, then fold them in gradually until a smooth, sticky batter forms.
  6. Spread the batter into the tin and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. The surface should be cracked and the centre still slightly moist.
  7. Let the brownie cool completely in the tin, then lift it out, cut it into 8 pieces and serve.
