Ingredients
- 500 g beef mince
- 2 pc onions
- 3 pc garlic cloves
- 2 pc fresh red chilies
- 2 can kidney beans (drained)
- 2 can chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 2 tsp cumin, ground
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 200 ml water

Method
- Finely dice the onions and garlic. Deseed the chilies and finely chop them, keeping the seeds in for more heat.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pot and brown the mince over medium to high heat, breaking it up into crumbles, until it is evenly browned.
- Add the onions, garlic and chili and fry for about 3 minutes, until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the tomato paste, paprika powder, cumin, chili powder and oregano and toast briefly until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and the water, season with salt and pepper, and let everything simmer gently without a lid for about 15 minutes.
- Stir in the drained kidney beans and simmer for another 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper and more chili if needed.
